ASYLUM AND REFUGEE WOMENS PROJECT
The aim of the project is to support Asylum and Refugee women that have suffered rape, torture, sexual violence and female genital mutilation (FGM).
One of the main objectives of the project is to offer support to the women and give confidence.
This will be achieved through counselling sessions, women engaging onto the project and taking part in workshops.
Some of the services offered will include:
Confidence Building
Support with health appointments
Advocacy work
Support Group
An action plan and recommendations will also be made to improve the way in which rape, torture and sexual violence are dealt with in the asylum process.
